iTunes is an audio player for playing and organizing digital music files, and purchasing digital music files in the FairPlay digital rights management format. The iTunes Music Store is the component of iTunes through which users can purchase digital music files from within iTunes.
Users are able to organize their music into playlists, edit file information, record compact discs, copy files to a digital audio player, purchase music on the Internet through its built-in music store, run a visualizer to display graphical effects in time to the music as well as encode music into a number of different audio formats.

A través de nuestros queridos maqueros de AppleWeblog me enteré que Kevin Rose, a través de su blog, cuenta, según lo que “escuchó”, las nuevas especificaciones que tendrá iTunes 8.

iTunes 8 incluirá Genius, una interesantísima aplicación que, si funciona correctamente, dará que hablar. Lo que hace Genius es armar playlists “inteligentes”. ¿Qué quiere decir esto? Básicamente que armará listas con canciones de tu libraría que van muy bien juntas y que, además, tiene un sidebar que te recomienda música de la iTunes Store que podría llegar a gustarte.

Además tendrá un nuevo modo de visualización (en forma de cuadrícula), te permitirá bajar tus series de televisión favoritas en HD, sincronizará con tu iPod Nano de cuarta generación, tu iPod Classic de segunda generación y tu iPod Touch de segunda generación.

Finalmente explica que el nuevo modo de visualización será realmente sorprendente. Uno de ellos es una especie de planeta donde, a su alrededor, giran estrellas, luces y cosas muy interesantes.

Sin duda, los aplausos se los lleva el nuevo sistema Genius (si funciona bien, como ya dije).
