La navegación utiliza la misma interfaz de Google Earth, y las diversas capas permiten seleccionar qué ver: las formas de las constelaciones, imágenes fotográficas de las estrellas (entre ellas muchas de las tomadas por el telescopio espacial Hubble), y los planetas, con una «línea temporal» que permite ver sus trayectorias y posición con el paso del tiempo.
Google Earth también agrega un simulador de vuelo, con aviones y aeropuerto a escoger, viajando por encima de las misma imagenes generadas de Google Earth.
